Update: Charges Against 'Panchie' & Wife Dismissed

A popular food vendor that operates a food van in Road Town and his wife informed the court today that they do not intend to give evidence against each other in relation to an altercation that left both parties injured.
Rene Jeffers known as 'Panchie' was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and his wife, Izene Jeffers was charged with with wounding and being armed with an offensive weapon.
They both pleaded not guilty during their arraignment today and offered not to give evidence against each other; hence, the charges were dismissed.
Panchie was represented by Attorney At Law Mary Lou Creque and his wife by Attorney At Law Patrick Thompson.
As reported earlier, the charges stemmed from an incident at their Sophie Bay's residence on the afternoon of June 6.
